1. Current website position
This site sells a subset of its catalogue directly (unregulated, priced products only) and takes commercial enquiries for the rest through an RFQ form. Submitting either creates a stored, server-side record. An optional account lets you sign in — by emailed one-time link, no password — to see your own order history and reorder past items; you can use the site fully as a guest without one. The site does not provide online payment, newsletters or behavioural advertising.
A separate, older inquiry tool still runs entirely in the visitor's browser: it creates a text brief for the visitor to download or copy, and the site does not transmit that specific brief to HGT. Which tool a given page uses is stated on that page.
2. Information we collect
Shopping cart. Items added to the cart are kept in your browser's local storage only, so the cart persists between pages on your device. Nothing about your cart contents reaches HGT until you submit it as a quote request at checkout.
Quote requests (checkout). Submitting the checkout form sends your name, email address and country, together with the products, quantities and indicative unit prices in your cart, to our database. This creates a quote-request record, not a payment — no card or bank details are collected through this website. See the terms of use for what submitting this form does and does not commit you to.
RFQ (request-for-quotation) form. Submitting an RFQ sends your company name, country, contact name, email address, destination country, the product and quantity you specified, whether you hold the import or distributor registration required in your destination market, and any message you add, to our database. Where a notification mailbox is configured, the same submission is also emailed to our commercial desk.
Account and sign-in. Signing in only requires an email address — there is no password to store. We use Supabase Auth, our database provider, to send the one-time sign-in link and to keep you signed in via a session cookie in your browser. While signed in, any quote request or RFQ you submit is linked to your account so it shows up in your order history; guest submissions made without signing in are not linked to any account.
Technical records. The site's hosting and security providers may generate ordinary technical records such as request time, device or browser information, IP address, error logs and security events to deliver and protect the service.
3. Analytics, advertising and automated decisions
HGT does not currently operate advertising pixels, behavioural advertising, a customer-profiling system or automated decisions through this website. No HGT-controlled analytics service is currently enabled. The policy and consent controls will be updated before any non-essential analytics or marketing technology is introduced.
4. Sharing and international transfers
HGT does not sell your data. Quote-request and RFQ records are stored with our database provider, Supabase, which may process and store data outside Pakistan; access to that data is restricted at the database level rather than left open to every visitor. Where a notification mailbox is configured, RFQ submissions are also relayed through our email-delivery provider, Resend. Both are technical processors acting on HGT's instructions, not independent recipients who can use your data for their own purposes.
5. Retention and security
Quote-request and RFQ records are kept for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and complete any resulting transaction, and afterwards for as long as our business and export record-keeping obligations require. Access to stored records is limited by database-level access rules rather than a general read permission, and product pricing and eligibility are independently re-checked on our server before any record is created — the website never trusts a price or eligibility claim sent from a visitor's browser. Technical service logs may be retained by the relevant provider for operational, security and legal purposes.
6. Your choices and contact route
You can browse and read every page, and buy as a guest, without signing in or submitting either form. Signing in is optional; you can sign out at any time from the account icon in the header, which ends the session but does not delete your order history. To ask what we hold about you, or to request a correction or deletion of your account and its records, use the contact page — a published business mailbox is not yet live, so this route is the current way to reach us.
7. Changes
The reviewed date will change when this notice or the website's data handling changes. Material changes will be published before the relevant feature is activated where reasonably possible.
