1. Current website position
This site displays indicative prices for a subset of its catalogue (priced items only) and accepts non-binding quotation requests for those; it takes commercial enquiries for the rest through an RFQ form. Submitting either creates a stored, server-side record. An optional account lets you sign in — by emailed one-time link, no password — to see your own quotation-request history and repeat a previous request; you can use the site fully as a guest without one. The site does not take online payment, and does not send newsletters or run behavioural advertising.
A separate, older inquiry tool still runs entirely in the visitor's browser: it creates a text brief for the visitor to download or copy, and the site does not transmit that specific brief to HGT. Which tool a given page uses is stated on that page.
2. Information we collect
We collect and use this information on two bases: it is necessary to respond to your enquiry or fulfil a quote request you have asked for (contractual necessity), or it protects the site and our business from fraud, abuse or security incidents (our legitimate interest, weighed against your own rights).
Quote basket. Items added to the quote basket are kept in your browser's local storage only, so the basket persists between pages on your device. Nothing about your quote-basket contents reaches HGT until you submit it as a quote request.
Quote requests. Submitting the quote-request form sends your name, email address and country, together with the products, quantities and indicative unit prices in your quote basket, to our database. This creates a quote-request record, not a payment — no card or bank details are collected through this website. See the terms of use for what submitting this form does and does not commit you to.
RFQ (request-for-quotation) form. Submitting an RFQ sends your company name, country, contact name, email address, destination country, the product and quantity you specified, whether you hold the import or distributor registration required in your destination market, and any message you add, to our database. Where a notification mailbox is configured, the same submission is also emailed to our commercial desk.
Account and sign-in. Signing in only requires an email address — there is no password to store. We use Supabase Auth, our database provider, to send the one-time sign-in link and to keep you signed in via a session cookie in your browser. While signed in, any quote request or RFQ you submit is linked to your account so it shows up in your quotation-request history; guest submissions made without signing in are not linked to any account.
Technical records. The site's hosting and security providers may generate ordinary technical records such as request time, device or browser information, IP address, error logs and security events to deliver and protect the service.
3. Analytics, advertising and automated decisions
HGT does not currently operate advertising pixels, behavioural advertising, a customer-profiling system or automated decisions through this website. No HGT-controlled analytics service is currently enabled. The policy and consent controls will be updated before any non-essential analytics or marketing technology is introduced.
4. Sharing and international transfers
HGT does not sell your data. Quote-request and RFQ records are stored with our database provider, Supabase, and RFQ submissions are also relayed through our email-delivery provider, Resend. Both process data outside Pakistan, on cloud infrastructure that may be located in the United States, the European Union or elsewhere depending on each provider's own operating regions, and both are technical processors acting on HGT's instructions under their own published data-processing terms — not independent recipients who can use your data for their own purposes. Where a transfer leaves the country your data was collected in, we rely on the safeguards each provider makes available for that transfer (such as their own standard contractual terms); we do not currently operate a separate transfer mechanism of our own.
5. Retention and security
Quote-request and RFQ records are kept for as long as your account is active, and in every case for at least as long as needed to complete any resulting transaction. Beyond that, we keep the underlying transaction record for as long as Pakistan's export and tax record-keeping rules require us to — we have not yet published the specific number of years this amounts to, since we are confirming the applicable retention period rather than estimating it; this notice will state the exact period once confirmed. Access to stored records is limited by database-level access rules rather than a general read permission, and product pricing and eligibility are independently re-checked on our server before any record is created — the website never trusts a price or eligibility claim sent from a visitor's browser. Technical service logs may be retained by the relevant provider for operational, security and legal purposes. If a data breach affecting your information occurs, we will assess it without undue delay and notify affected individuals and any relevant authority where we are required to.
6. Your choices and contact route
You can browse and read every page, and submit a quotation request as a guest, without signing in. Signing in is optional; you can sign out at any time from the account icon in the header, which ends the session but does not delete your quotation-request history. Depending on where you are and which law applies to you, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and — where applicable — to lodge a complaint with your own country's data protection authority rather than only with us. 7. Changes
The reviewed date will change when this notice or the website's data handling changes. Material changes will be published before the relevant feature is activated where reasonably possible.
